Run cycles and Painting

This is a pencil test of the run cycle animation I am working on.  It is not quite finished yet but I will post the finished product when its done.

And I have this painting that I did for my background painting class.  The layout I painted was not drawn by me originally.  It was concept art from Studio Ghibli's movie Howl's Moving Castle.  I couldn't find the exact artist's name but all credit for the drawing goes to them, I only did the painting. 

First we have the three small colour studies that were done before starting the final.  These were to help decide which colour scheme to use.

So I kinda forgot to upload this when it was done.  Probably because I thought I may fix it up a bit but never got around to it.  Anyways here ya go!

Updates

This week I finished a picture that is really important to me because I learned so much from doing it.  I tried out a new style and just wow I'm so excited to keep working on it.  This is such an eye opener to me and I can't wait to get back to doing some more digital work.

Also finished another Life Drawing assignment this week.  This time it's muscles of the Arm.  We also had to include a page of gestures of the hand so thats in here too.

Layout updates!

Been really busy these past few weeks.  Most of my time was spent working on Layout related assignments.

 

This is the cleaned up drawing and tonal study of my mad scientist lab layout.

 

 

This is some of the research and planning I did for the next Layout assignment.  This one had to be an exterior layout so I decided to make mine a water park.

 

 

And here are the final layouts created form all this research an planning.  This first one is the layout done in my own style.  The second is it done in the style of Aladdin.  And the third is the tonal study of the one done in my style.
